Privacy statement

This is daretoconnect.nl's privacy statement. We are located at Kreuzestraat 47, Hollandscheveld, the Netherlands. We are registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce KVK, number 54239648. In this privacy statement, we outline how and why we process your personal data and explain your rights in this regard.

General

The website www.daretoconnect.nl is the property of daretoconnect.nl (known in Dutch as durfteverbinden.nl). daretoconnect.nl respects the privacy of all visitors to its website. We handle your personal data with care. Your personal data will not be sold, traded or shared with parties unrelated to our services. And yes, we follow all Dutch and European laws and regulations regarding personal data protection.

Which personal data do we process?

daretoconnect.nl processes your personal data because you use our services or because you contacted us, for example via our contact form or e-mail. We only process personal data supplied by you or by the cookies we place.

Below, you find an overview of the personal data we always process:

  • Contact name
  • Contact e-mail
  • Contact phone – if supplied
  • Any other information you voluntarily supply

What happens if you do not want to share your data?

You are under no obligation to share your personal data with us. However, we cannot provide our services without certain details, such as the data we set in an agreement for the delivery of services to you or to send you our newsletter.

For which purposes do we process your data and on which grounds?

daretoconnect.nl processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To be able to contact you about our services;
  • To inform you about changes in our products and services; and
  • To provides services to you.
  • Sending our newsletter.

We process your data based on one of the following grounds:

  • It is necessary for delivering our services;
  • We have obtained your permission to process them; or
  • We have a justified interest in processing your data.

In some cases, you have provided us with personal data without being obligated to do so, such as in the preparation of a contract.

We have a justified interest in processing your personal data. This may be related to the general operations of our business such as administrative purposes. If you object to us retaining these data, please inform us and we will reassess your interests and ours.

We use MailChimp to send our newsletter. This party is located in the United States and part of the Privacy Shield framework. This means there are sufficient safeguards in place to protect your privacy.

This privacy statement is not applicable to any third-party website linked to this daretoconnect.nl.

How long do we keep your personal data?

daretoconnect.nl will not keep your personal data any longer than strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. What does this mean? For the most commonly collected data, the following terms apply:

Type of data Retention period
Personal details General visitor data are kept for no longer than 1 year. The data you have provided for us to contact you by phone are kept until this phone conversation has taken place (unless you become a client of course!).
Online forms Personal details entered into our online forms are automatically deleted from our website's database after 2 months.
Client files Client files are deleted 2 years after our collaboration has ended.
Invoices Invoices are stored for 7 years to comply with Dutch taxation regulations.

Do we share your data?

Yes, but only with good reason. daretoconnect.nl will only share your details with third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our contract and/or to fulfil any legal obligations. We have a processor agreement in place with companies that process your data on our behalf, ensuring the same level of security and confidentiality we offer. And do not worry; daretoconnect.nl is and remains responsible for the processing of your data.

How do we protect your data?

daretoconnect.nl protects your personal data to ensure they will not get lost or get into the wrong hands. Our measures include:

  • Securing our websites with an SSL certificate, encrypting your data – for instances those entered in a contact form;
  • Using only recent software and a sturdy firewall;
  • Securing all our computer equipment with a password, for which a strict password policy is in place;
  • Only allowing qualified staff/third parties access to your personal data; and
  • As we mentioned: by having processor agreements in place with any party accessing your data.

Which rights do you have in regards to your personal data?

You have to right to review, correct or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw any and all permissions for data processing given to daretoconnect.nl and/or formally object to us processing your personal data. In some instances, you are entitled to transfer of your data. This means you can request us to electronically transfer any and all of your personal details in our possession to you or a third party of your choice.

You can make such a request or formal objection to the processing of your personal data by sending a message to rianne@durfteverbinden.nl. To ensure you are the person making the request, please include a copy of your ID. To protect your privacy, please cover/mark out the picture, MRZ (machine readable zone, the line with numbers at the bottom of your document), document number and citizen service number (BSN). We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within 4 weeks at the latest.

If you have any complaints about how we process your data, please let us know as soon as possible. Our aim is always to resolves our differences together. daretoconnect.nl does want to remind you that you have the possibility to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

What happens if daretoconnects.nl's privacy policy changes?

Personal data protection laws and regulations are always evolving. Therefore, we reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. Ensure to refer to it regularly.
